Entry for Whitewater – White Water Guide PFD by Aquadesign

We - whitewater kayakers and guides - believe a PFD is not just a buoyancy aid, but a friend that follow and help us in our everyday adventures, not just on the water, but also while scouting, carrying a boat or swimming. In this spirit, we think a good PFD is articulated around three axes:

“We – whitewater kayakers and guides – believe a PFD is not just a buoyancy aid, but a friend that follow and help us in our everyday adventures, not just on the water, but also while scouting, carrying a boat or swimming. In this spirit, we think a good PFD is articulated around three axes:

  • The passive security, which allow you so stay on the surface, to be highly visible, protected from hazards like impact or branches and easy to be caught by team-mate.
  • The action capacity, which allow to do what you need to do: towing a boat, rope yourself, communicate, cut something, install a rope reeving system, eat, and of course paddling freely.
  • The usability, which allow you to do these actions by the most easy and natural way: grab the leash, take a call, find your pulley kit in the order you need it, event in tricky situation.

By this way, we designed the White-Water Guide PFD as the new paddlers best friend, a minimalist style PDF, as comfortable as practical, for white water paddlers and guides.
